Ok, heres the deal. I have a Yamaha F-310 that's about 7 years old, has a lovely sound out of it. About 5 months ago, my brother broke it while staying in college. Im not sure about the details but the neck broke a bit. He got it "repaired" anyway, the shop just did a half-assed job, stuck it with glue or sumthing. Now the intonation is fecked, around where the neck is glued. If I play the fourth fre on the 1st string, it sound the exact same as the fifth fret not, ie theres no difference if I try to play a different note. To rub salt in the wound, the tuning peg fell out, the shop tried gluing it back on, but its after falling off. Does anyone know where I could get these problems properly fixed? Anywhere in the midlands area, but I would be willing to travel anywhere in Dublin. I miss my acoustic!!!!

Hope you didnt pay too much to get it fixed. Tbh they arent great guitars but if you like it I suppose you could get a new one

Shouldnt be more than around €140 delivered

Though there is a service in Musician Inc. The Guitar Workshop or something. I had my acoustic repaired in there. Took a long time and the job was average/good. Quite expensive though

Aye, you might be better off just getting a new guitar.

Yeah. I'd say the same. I had a crappy acoustic a while ago and I broke the head/upper neck, I brought it into a shop (in Dublin), paid fifty quid for it to be fixed (guitar worth 200) and all they done was glue it, just a week ago it broke again. It's not worth the hastly.
