I'm not sure if this a stupid question.
I have a PS2 and a game cube. I have recently begun playing these after years of gathering dust. Mario Kart made me do it so the Game cube is out mostly, the 4 controllers help too. I'm just wondering what is the difference between the consoles when it comes to the same games. I'm planning to get the New fifa and I'm just wondering is the game cube limited in any way.Are the graphics and extra options all the same.

I'm just not sure if i'm missing anything thats all.

Depends on the game. Generally speaking there shouldn't be much of a difference apart from the pad you are using.

The Cube has the potential for better graphics over the PS2, but I doubt a game like Fifa will take much advantge of this. Aside from that it's just down to what the developers decide to include. Often a game will be released on one platform a good bit before the other, giving the developers time to add extra bits and pieces... and again there's other instences where a game is specificly desigined for one machine and the 'port' to the other can be fairly sloppy.

I'd say it's a safe enough bet that a game like Fifa is the same on both machines.. but read some reviews of both versions before you buy.

The Gamecube is arguable more capable than the PS2, so multiformat games generally look a bit better and load a bit faster on it. With games like FIFA, which aren't designed for one console specifically and then ported to another, there usually isn't all that much of a difference, so usually you're better off just going with whichever machine's joypad you feel more comfortable with.

    Cheers Lads,

I'll probably go with the game cube so if the difference is minimal, or even better. Its hooked up to the projector so is better when the lads come over. the playstation is really marketed better thats all.

    Atilla.

There's always winning 11, if you can import..

Anyway.. >_> Another plus on the GC is four pads > two pads/multi thing.

Though it is limmited to games.. there are some great games to play on multiplayer, Monkey ball, Super Smash Brothers, F-Zero, Mario Party, Time Splinters, etc.
