I take it you won't be cheering on Fall in Line today for his 7 timer today :D

I certainly won't, it's probably got it's correct handicap mark now so it won't bother me if it wins. It only bothers me when something without a shred of form suddenly wins on it's handicap debut and goes on a run similar to what Fall in Line did. Fall in Line's first two runs were over 8 and 9 furlongs when they were clearly distances short of it's best. The worst thing is Prescott is called a genius by the racing media for doing this.

Incidentally I pointed out a horse called Spasida last saturday at Catterick as one of Prescotts making its handicap debut, it was backed in from 14/1 to 13/2 and came nowhere, I seen the race during the week, it was given the softest possible ride and was never put under any pressure. So don't be surprised to see a dramatic improvement next time out.

And MasterK won't be surprised to see that the 27th race is a step up 3 furlongs.

If I was betting in this race, I would be opposing Fall in Line. The Prescott horse has been in with some very poor opposition of late and I'm not too overly impressed with his last runs to be honest. I would oppose it in favour of either WINGMAN or SIRCE. Couldn't decide which, so I won't be backing. I'd favour Sirce if a gun was put to my head.

Spasida runs today at Nottingham, 4:30. It will be interesting to see if there is any support for it. It's stepping up 3 furlongs in trip. It's pedigree gives a mixed reading on whether the trip will suit, it's out of Pivotal who was best over 5 furlongs yet it's Dam won over 12 furlongs. It also doesn't have the best of draws, although Seb Sanders is back on board today.

I had a very small bet on it at 15/1 on Betfair last night. Given the trainer I think the market will be the best guide to it's chances, it's forecast at 12/1 in the Racing Post.
