Hey Guys. Sorry if this has been posted before. Its just that the search option came up as being disabled at the minute. Thinking about heading to Brittas Bay for a night at the weekend and was wondering is there any laws against camping in Ireland or what the craic is. Has anyone camped there before? A bit of advice would be cool. Thanks in advance.

Mate, if you do camp at Brittas Bay (and there are few finer things in this life), please be one of the 25% who clean up their rubbish when they go. I was on the beach at the northern car park at the weekend and it looked like an off-license had exploded. Just lovely for the kiddies.

As noted, there should be no hassle from the authorities as long as you're clean and (relatively) quiet and tents are off the beach in the morning. At least our beloved Recession might mean a reduction in the numbers of abandoned vomit-sprayed tents and sleeping bags this year.

Are there any specific areas or parks/camp sites to do this?
