Just how evil is Evil Phil?

I've been pondering this of late; I call into question "Evil" Phil's association with the fallen angel.

Far too many times have I seen him polite and helpful.
What stories have YOU to tell about him?

I hereby propse that his name be altered to Nice Phil.

    Evil Phil is not evil.

I generally refer to him as Rather Nice Phil.

His name was indeed changed to Not So Evil Phil for a while at Thaed's request.

Evil Phil's appearance is said to take on an "evil" look in certain states of inebriation, hence the name.

I challenged Evil Phil to a fight to the death and he hasn't answered me. I am left with only one conclusion, he is Not So Evil.

I think Evil Phil is actually incredibly evil. He just hides it well.

By having the word "Evil" in his username.

    Cunning.

If the search feature was active you could look for the thread in feed back
started infact not by me but my Wwm requesting a change of name for
Evil phil to Not So Evil Phil.

This caused a lot of trouble and upset and angst so much so he threatened
    to quit boards.
There is a rather emotional entry in his blog about it.

Tbh having Evil Phil as a nick means people maybe wary so that he can
be as helpful and as charming as he wishes or naturally is but if people
cross a line then they have already been warned.
Handy like having people aware that you are a Bitch.

Evil , Not So Evil doesnt really matter he is a stand up guy in my book.

Now I feel bad. I don't challenge him anymore. He can have a cookie instead.

I don't have any cookies, but if I did he'd get one.

And like how Lou Gehrig died from Lou Gehrig's Disease.

How'd he not see that one coming?

I think we should have an alter-ego day where we get to be Evil <nickname> or Good <nickname> for a day. I'll be Evil Koneko and I'll rule the board with an iron fist.

    Where does that leave me?

Exactly opposite to where you are now...

Sarky, you are someone else's evil self.

I've met Good Sarky. Poor bastard, you have to feel sorry for him. He's not as much fun though.

Probably has a bald chin and amazingly positive outlook on life.

    Poor bastard is right.

Maybe he's not named for the thing he has done, but for the things he will do after luring all of us into a false sense of security.

He's evil, but he's also never going to let me corner him in a bar again and talk at him about films. :)

I'm ressurecting this thread folks as I've just found it. There are a number of stories for why I'm called Evil Phil. One is the inebriation story, one is I used to play Quake using that name (back when I played quake). The other is that I'm evil and the other is that I'm NOT evil so it was a good nick name.

Some people call my Foggy but that's a different story.

Dogville is a great movie, especially the end with her revenge for the figurines, so you can talk to me about movies any time you want Minesaglassofandrewsgodmyheadhurts.

Koneko, if you're challenge still stands I'm accept.

As for the fallen one, he was the Lords favourite arch-angel. Is this relevant? Who knows.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,304 ✭✭✭✭koneko

But I'm weak like a kitten, and you'd crush me with your iron fist. I also took back that challenge and offered you a cookie.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,468 ✭✭✭Evil Phil

You can't take back a challenge like that. Champagne corks and top-hats at dawn would be an acceptable alternative.

The whole f*cking world was out to get me that day and the whole f*cking world can still f*ck off for it pacman.gif

Alright, champagne corks and tophats it is. To the death! (or honour, or someone's hat falls off).
