Hi guys, id really apprecioate it if somebody could help me!! I just got the Breeze 2mb lione from IBB on Monday and already im in trouble. I browsed the net for about 2 hrs after getting connected on Monday and all of a sudden i couldnt use the net anymore. The Local Area Connection still says its connected but when i open internet explorer its as though im offline etc.

IBB came back out yesterday to see if they could do anything. He tried to ping my ip through the command prompt it gave ping error 65? Anybody know what that is? The prob isnt with them cos i tried a laptop with the connectiopn and it worked fine.

Whats really bugging me is i was just about to download the virus definitions for Norton Corporate Ed Anti Virus but now i cant and the definitions on it are from 2001!!! Is there any way of downloading the definitions onto my laptop and transferring them onto the PC?

Im presuming it is a virus, has anybody had anything similar b4? Any help would be seriuosly greatful cos this is really annoying me, Thanks, Eddie!!

Ya I have seen that before and it was caused by a Virus. It happens all the time, especially with IBB because theres no firewall router protecting you. You connect to the internet without your PC up to date with the latest windows updates and within a few hours you will surely be hit by a few viruses.

To fix it, boot into safe mode with networking enabled, (f8 during bootup usually) then you can copy stuff from the other computer and run all your scans etc.

Thanks for the swift response. When u say "then you can copy stuff from the other computer and run all your scans etc." how should i connect them? sorry im no computer expert at all. i remember stuff once shown but ive never had to do anything like this before. Ive an uncle at Cork IT that tried to help me last night but i understand only so much can be done whilst talkign on the phone and here etc.

also i just noticed ye people dont want these sort of posts in this forum so i totally understand if it is to be deleted!
