    Hi,
I love to get out for a game of football, problem is, I'm not too good, I'm ok, but I was playing with guys tonight who were far far better than me and I felt a bit useless on the pitch. I remember the good days of PE in school where the teacher would get the two best to pick two teams until half the class were picked, then they would go and play a game and the rest, the bad players, divided themselves up for the B game, which was always MUCH better and more enjoyable than the last 30 minutes which was the winner of the B game with the losers of the A game against the winners of the A game and the losers of the B game. So basically, it's much better playing with bad players if your bad. I hadn't played football in about 3 years but started again this summer and it's sooo much fun.

So I thought, what better place than boards to visit to see if there's anyone out there who'd be interested in having regular games , maybe even start up a league and get dedicated to it? I know I'd be anyway:) All ages of course, rain, sleet or snow. It would have to be done properly with the same drive and dedication as a proper league, just with below par players. We could call it division X or something

This is also a great way to keep fit.

If you'd be interested please mark the poll and maybe we could organise something for the future:)

This type of post has gone up in the soccer forum a few times and usually gets loads of interest.... but time, location, costs and (ultimately) other commitments are going to cause it all to fall apart :(
However, put me down as a maybe :)

Not too shabby, from what I've seen.

Why dont you just join a club who are in the lower leagues of the Leinster senior leagues (depending that your from Dublin). This wont be a fairly low standard and it will be in a competitive spirit.

check out www.lsl.ie for league tables and information about clubs. It will be far easier than trying to set up your own league!!
