    http://www.rte.ie/news/2005/0921/drogheda.html
At today's briefing, the consultants said the 146-hectare site, southeast of the town, could be developed in two phases. They estimated it could provide homes for 12,000 people, with work on phase one starting after 2006.

may be its just me, the timing of this news and the new releases at Grange Rath.. there was also something about a huge theme park for the northside, never heard anything about it since... ah I dont know, I hope I am wrong!

Interesting. There is also plans for the North East of the town beyond Termon Abbey. Includes a ring road to the M1 through Termon Abbey and Aston Village (AFAIR). See the plan here.

I have heard that there is 20,000 houses planned for back of Thermon Abbey.

Are you sure? 20,000 houses? Thats like 40,000 people, which in itself would double to population of Drogheda!

According to this artcile: The shaping of things to come for Drogheda, they are expecting it only by year 2020 or something like that! Drove around Termon Abbey/Aston Village yesterday, looks nice for the price, and the view is excellent too!

On another note, anyone know how frequent is that new shuttle service from GrangeRath (€12 pw)?

The provision of housing stock for a population of 20,000 is to be provided for along the whole of the Northern part of the town along the future port access route. This is the area shown yellow in the map posted by Dingatron. This would be about 8,000 houses.

The lands metioned to the south of Drogheda I think are between Colpe Cross at the Europa Hotel and the Duleek Road.
