    http://www.tcd.ie/Accommodation/hallfirst.htm

Searching for accommodation in Dublin particularly for the first time can be quite difficult and therefore many new students have a preference for College Residences. This year with the developments at Trinity Hall over 400 places are available for students who have applied for a course thorough the Irish Central Applications Office.

    over 400 i guess

but that site also says "There are 1,000 rooms available at Trinity Hall. Part of the grounds form the University of Dublin Botanic Gardens." and "Accommodation in the newer development is in apartments which typically accommodate 6 persons."

You're both right. 400 or so places for CAO applicants (i.e. incoming first years, not including int'l students applying directly to Trinity), and over 1000 bedspaces in the entire development. One summer I lived in TH there were 70 beds...major change.
