Today (18/09/05 ) On the Quays in Dublin City Center

    Does anyone know what was happening on the quays in the city center today at about 5 O Clock ? There was loads of people looking down into the river liffey and loads of ambulances and fire engines, but I couldnt see anything from the car. Theres nothing in the news about it.

    Maybe the fire engine and ambulance lads were just meeting for a chat? The quays is a nice central location for everyone to meet up.

    Yup a guy fell, he climbed down to get a bike, and while he was climbing back out he fell from the ladder and landed on rock, he was unconscious and twitching emergency services got there under 5 minutes.

    Yup I overheard the fire guys talking about the guy. It was a rescue job.

    And if you want to know why there were so many rescue people there: remember it's a Sunday. There is a premium on call charge. Our tax money!!
