Just what it says in the title, with the charges for currency transfer are you better off with your account in Euros or dollars? or does it matter?

$ I think, if you're going to be moving money around different poker sites anyway.

As a lot of the big sites are dollars only, it is best to have an account in dollars. If your netteller account is in Euro, every time you transfer money you will have to pay a conversion charge. This charge wont appear on your account. It will be automatically deducted. If you already have a euro account, I would recommend closing it immediately and opening a new account in dollars. However this will require a different email address. its a little bit time consuming but definetly worthwhile.

After I changed my account, I rang netteller in america. Got talking to a very nice lady. I gave out to her about the lack of disclosure on the conversion charges and the fact i had been told all transfers were free. She said she would check it out and ring me back. To my surprise she rang back within an hour and offered me a full refund for all the charges.
