Every time he's on stage he's half pissed. Fun Dylan. He's still funny though.

Sure watch his Monster show, he seemed pretty plastered. And he always seemed a wee bit tipsy when he was on Black Books. And it's quite possible he was just putting on a bit of an act, never hurts to get a bit of free publicity

I think he is a class standup. only heard him a few times and he always seemed like he was in the horrors. I'm not sure if this is true but i have heard a few times that Tommy Tiernan pops a few bangers before he heads on stage. Might not be true but to look at him in interviews or just off the stage he is very calm and on stage he is a mad man.Whatever he's on though it works.

Tiernan has admitted that he used to do pretty much anything he could get his hands on before going on stage. Reckon it's one of the reasons that the 'Cracked' show was so poor: he was going through a break-up with his partners and was trying to get used to doing his shows sober.

And Dylan Moran is the best stand-up this country has ever produced imho. I've seen him a good few times, sober or plastered he's always brilliant. In fact, being a bit drunk actually suits his dead-pan stuff.

"One of those guys, HAH?" :D

Has Dylan Moran done his own stand up video? i'd love ta see more of him. Ya i agree being drunk def suits him.
Has anyone seen "Oh no it's Mcsavage"
He might just be offensive to some people but if ya don't get shocked easily and like stand ups who act crazy then you'll def like him.

Not a big fan of Dave McSavage tbh.

AFAIK, Dylan Moran's never released a stand-up video though I've some stuff of his from a TV performance years ago on a show that Ardal O' Hanlon used to present. Have Tommy Tiernan's legendary "Latin Class in Navan" sketch on the same video! :)

Isn't that the tit who shouts insults at passers by in Temple Bar with a microphone?

Just about the most unfunny person in Ireland, AFAIR he was on boards a few months back being unfunny and abusive too.

Dylan Moran released a stand up DVD called Monster, was recorded in Vicar Street at the begining of this year or sometime last year. I was at the gig but I can't remember when it was on

Anyway it is excellent and well worth a watch.

Dylan does have a DVD called Monster. It was filmed in Dublin and it's pretty funny to see him light up a cigarette on stage despite the smoking ban.

    Only £6.99.

Oh.. and Dave McSavage is utterly pathetic I'm affraid to say.

I saw Dylan Moran's show in Kilkenny this year and it did NOT "go down like a lead balloon". There were 1 or 2 heckling arseholes, but you get them at most stand up gigs.

Thats great, thanks monkeyfudge. Gotta have a look at that.
Ya Dave Mcsavage seems to be either loved or hated. when i ask peoples opinions on him it seems to be 50-50.Some of his dvd was sh*** but there were a good few moments in it that had me and the lads in the knots laughin, granted we were drunk, lol.

The whole drunk thing completely suits Dylan Moran imo.. whether it's an act or not.. hilarious though..he just spurts out random comments at the end of every sentence.
I personally like Dave McSavage, just saw him at the top of Grafton St. I just like that style of bitter comedy. He was great on the Late Late show a while back, mainly because he was ripping the piss out of Pat Kenny..

Yup, I remember that. He's pathetic. All he knows how to do is insult people. Angry little man...

Dylan Moran is quality!Haven't seen him live yet though, unfortunately.
Thought blackbooks was a great programme too.

I don't know what to think of Dave McSavage, have seen him on the streets for years and would always stop and watch for a while, but any tv appearances I've seen him in have been crap.

Have to agree with Sleepy on "Cracked", thought Live was a much better watch...

Same here, was a little bit disapointed with cracked but only because live had been so good.
