I often wondered whether a Nigerian scammer has ever tried to scam another Nigerian scammer.

Looks like a scam to me. Bring it to eBay's attention at the very least. There must be a school somewhere that teaches these guys how to churn out that rubbish.

He'll probably send you a PO for a €1000 and ask you to post the phone and wire the change to him.

Just tell him PayPal or nothing. He hasn't done anything wrong as yet but if you go with his PO idea you'll be the one who is 'done'.

I would hate to be an honest nigerian (if there is such a thing!), you couldnt do online business with anybody. whenever I hear nigerian now, I automatically think SCAM

When i used to work for vodafone retail , they were trying to scam bill phones all the time , forging bills address names etc , now i think vodafone just slap a 200-500 euro condition on any nigerian looking to connect

I can't see ebay ever doing anything about scammers, as they get their listing fees regardless. They would be cutting off their nose to spite their face.

Why do ebay tell you to contact your isp about fraudulant sellers and hoax mails? I work in the abuse dept of a large isp and there is nothing we can do if someone on our system uses ebay to rip you off. They are not breaking our rules.

10 head scratches for this one. Why wouldnt eBay do something about scammers? - they have to otherwise it tarnish's their name as a site and service,no one then uses it and then no one pays them. Yes/No?

Their standard line is "we are only a venue, we can't get involved in disputes". Seems to sum up ebay really.

    nope.
their standard line is they will do everything within reason to help you recover any money you lose.

Don't blindly post your opinon(false) as fact please.
