unable to find the right friends

    i don't think sci-fi clubs are the solution. aren't they for nerds? thanx for the advice anyway guys. in future i'll stop trying to "make" friends and just let things roll the way they are meant to.

    that will probably help a lot because you will be more relaxed and that will come across.
    you should also come to the boards beer in November, that's a great place to meet new people ;)

    Yes. If you're a nerd therefore they'd be a great place to make friends, otherwise maybe a different society about something you are into?

    You're right about not forcing the issue of making friends too much, but you can't just sit in your flat and wait for them to knock on the door either.
