If its gaming you'll be doing, you'll need at least 1gb of ram and a much better card then the 9250....

well if it is the newest games that you want to be playing on it, you should go for somthing along the lines of:

nVidea 6600 series or nvidea 6800 series

    ATI x800 series

k, if thats out of the question, go for something along the lines of the 6600gt, well worth especially when it is now for sale under 200 euro, which should work out to be less than $250, well worth it

hmm the only ones on the list are the
    GeForce 6600GT 128MB 2xDVI AGP @$178
    Asus GeForce 6600GT 128MB PCIE @$138

Go for at least a 6600....

The 9250 will struggle at any new games, its a pretty old card. Not worth anything to be honest. You could also pick up a second hand 9800 pro maybe on the FS forum for about 80 quid, decent card.

But if you want it for gaming then the best thing to do is really fork out a few extra quid and get an x800 or x850 or a 6800....but on a budget a 6600 would be pretty good.

Definately you'll need 1gb ram, but again, that depends of course if you are playing latest games or not.

    As for the fx5500....*shudder*

You can get Viewsonic TFT 17" from PCScience for E195, they are a Mayo based PC part outlet store. I use them quite a bit.

Woah, i might be looking at the wrong motherboard, but is that agp only? Dont get an AGP slot dependant motherboard, get one with PCI Express. AGP is being phased out now, so changing your mobo to having a PCI-E slot and your graphics card too, will make it more futureproof

The motherboard you're looking at doesn't support the graphics card you mentioned. You need a PCI Express mobo like the A8NE which is about the same price. Go for this graphics card "GeForce 6600GT 128MB 2DVI PCIE [XFX-PVT43GND] [PVT43GND]" for $172 or "Asus GeForce 6600 128MB PCIE [ASU-EN6600TD128] [EN6600/TD/128]" for $138. That should do the trick.
