Whats everybodies views on the situation. In my opinion hes right to try and get out of it, after all he wants to win races and like any driver he wants to be at the team that gives him the best chance of that which he clearly thinks is bar. however if williams insisted on him honouring the contract and he choose not to race or didnt give it his all he would be a spoiled immature idiot imo, after all he did sign the contract.

Also where do you think he'll end up next year? I think BAR(although I am slightly biased being a bar fan). What does everyone else think.

I think Button is a competent Journeyman driver. The hype that surrounds him is purely because hes the British F1 hope.

Case in point is that fact that BAR had a stonking quick car in 2004 and all Button managed was a few seconds and loads of thirds >courtesy of the car.
He should have won at least once.

If Fiscihella, Barrichello, Coulthard, Heidfeld, Webber, Wurz and DeLa Rosa were in the BAR last year they would have strung some wins together, & any of the Top line drivers Montoya, Kimi, Trulli, Alonso would have put together a championship challenge to Schumi.
Button doesnt have the killer instinct.

Button should go to Williams or take a year off, its goin to coast BAR a few million to buy him out, or maybe Frank Williams would get BAR to paid his engine bill next year. Williams would be the winner in that deal.

Jenson Button is a devious so and so who's only in it for the money. Was it 12 months ago that he signed for Williams behind BAR's back? 12 months later he's not honouring a contract. He's an a$$hole as far as I'm concerned and I hope Frank Williams holds that git to ransom for every penny he can get out of him.

He's also a very average driver may I add.

Willliams need Button, despite him being fairly average driver. After losing BMW and HP sponsorship, they need Button for sponsorship. This is why they are after turning down 12 mil from BAR, because he was worth more that that to Williams

Looks like hes staying at bar if theres any truth in this story http://www.setanta.com/content/setanta/website.nsf/systemcontent/newsarticle?open&articleid=582386629dbf153680257081004bbbb4&folder=website-f1&parentfolder=website&noex&ref=rss& . Cant say Im surprised really williams needed the money and I doubt they wanted a driver who clearly doesnt want to be there.
