Please state what settings have been established: IP address/Subnet of client and router .. can you ping the router?

    Ok,

Do you have another computer attached to the router and if so can it get onto the internet?

Do you use a username and password to get onto the internet? If so this will need to be entered into the routers settings.

Also you could check your Internet Explorer settings. It will need to be set to never dial a connection.
Tools - Internet Options - Connections

    Hope this helps
