Shipping item from europe to here

    I bought an item from ebay (new golf set, boxed) but the postage cost to ireland is 55 euro (shipping from Holland), even though its only 18 to england and only 6 euro to holland/belgium/germany. The thing is, i can get the item shipped to any address, not just my credit card billing address. So i was wondering, is there some courier company i can have it shipped to that will then ship it onto me? Cause im guessing that if i get it shipped to england for 18 euro, it'll cost less than 37 euro to get it shipped from there to Dublin. Or better still, get it shipped to a courier place in Holland or germany for only 6 euro and then ive anything up to 48 euro left to get it to here.
    So, any ideas how i can do this at all to avoid that insane shipping cost?

    cost me €50 euros to send 12kg from ireland to germany via normal post
