Urgent help required - I have line with eircom and am ex-directory, and my phone no is witheld automatically when I make a call,(so if I rang you it would come up as *witheld*)

I urgently need to make a call and unwithold my number, as receiving phone will not accept calls from witheld numbers! I know there are some digits to input before the actual phone number, but I've forgotten them, and when I rang the operator she told me to dial 1901 and ask them - office hours only :(

    So if anyone knows, please..........!!!

    And rightly so!
Nothing good ever came of answering a 'blocked' number, in my experience.

I'll answer 'unknown' numbers alright, as they're more than likely international calls that the phone doesn't recognise, but 'blocked' ones? Sod 'em, if their precious identity is so secret, they'd probably have to kill me if they told me who they were anyway.

Aaaaah. I feel better now :)
