I've always loved Agassi thru the years and watched him win Wimbledon 13 yrs ago and was amazed, but at 35 and still reaching major finals. What does this say about the young opposition. I've always felt that tennis was for the younger guys and that guys in the early 20's with skill would be too much for those over the landmark age of 30. Sampras is gone because he progressed naturally and found that he couldn't compete at the very highest level due to nature and age. What is it about Agassi, is he a freak of nature or is Tennis not producing the young talent to compete

I think that aggasi is a credit to tennis.A great player who is entertaining.
I think that tennis is producing lot's of young talent.Just look at:
Andy Murray, Raphael Nadal etc etc.
I think that this is a great time for tennis in general although the Roddick/federers finals in wimbledon are getting quite repetetive.

I don't think it says anything about the opposition, it just highlights
what an amazing tennis player andre is, the fact that he can go toe to toe
with most of the young guys, is something to applaud. I mean the Blake-Agassi match was unbelievable!
It'll be interesting to see if Federer can still reach finals of Grand Slams when he's 35!!!

Agassi is a legend but age is becoming less of an issue in most sports now. Athletes who look after themselves can go on competing until at least 40. Alan Shearer for newcastle, Roy keane[talented professional] V Robbie Keane{talented waster}. Lennox Lewis world Champion at 37.George foreman 47 world champion. Navratalova,Carl lewis,Eamonn Coughlan breaking 4min mile at 40.
