BT Broadband Modem

Just wondering how long it takes BT to take over the eircom line in a house, and what happens during the changeover? They gave me my username and password last week and said a courier would deliver my modem "soon". Any idea when soon usually is with BT?

I was waiting for over 5 weeks for my modem.
Its just up to eircom enabling the line, thats what takes so long.

The line is enabled for broadband already, Eircom confirmed that. (Well my mate in eircom did it for me).

Do you mean the process of O2 taking ownership of the line took ages?
