It's more a music course than a guitar course, the are/were lots of lectures about the biz etc. It's only as good as the effort you put in (ie- if you be like the sponge, it's quite educational, if not, you may as well stay at home).

If you want a dedicated guitar course then have a look at Newpark school near Blackrock.

i wouldn't say i'm an authority on the subject, but from what i've seen meself, the courses in ireland.. Ballyfermot, Stiofan Naofa, etc... are generally music courses, but a lot of the ppl that enroll are mainly guitar players... just the impression i've got from it... which is kinda good, because it encourages guitar players to maintain an open mind to other instruments...

TBH I don't know. Fusion251 would be the man to ask, he's studying there at the moment. If his skill is anything to go by, you'll need to be **** hot to get in there cos that man can play. He posts frequently enough in the Jazz/Blues forum, so you'll be able to PM him from there.

    Thanks Doc!

Yeah i´m finished up with Newpark now, all done :)
It´s a great college with regards to performance and improvisation. You have your instrument for most lessons so it involves alot of playing.

I´d recommend it, and they´re doing a new 4 year degree course now, it´s expensive but if you´re serious about music it´s worth every penny.

    www.newparkmusic.com

    Cheers
    Fusion
