    Hi,
I' just did the l.c. and have decided to go out and see the world before more school, i'm thinking of going to Australia, maybe in January, and probably working over there with the working visa,
Just trying to find out, is there anybody else who did this, and could they tell me about it, I'm thinking about spending a few months there at least,

Thank you so much for your time

Well I haven't done it yet (I'm finished college), I'm doing it next may (Australia) as I'm starting a Postgraduate Degree. Go for it, all my friends who have done it loved every minute.

why not pick somewhere else? everyone goes to australia, n its hardly a huge change from ireland.

theres deals on tefl courses if you book before some time in october. You can work pretty much anywhere with those, SE Asia, S America etc, would be well worth it, and you can always go travelling after a while anyways. (youll be in the area, with flights already paid for)

    anyways, g'luck

    GO FOR IT!
Im doing it in 7 weeks. Heading to S.E Asia for 2 months then on to Australia. Buy an around the world ticket -good value and you'll get to see lots of places. The Australian work/holiday visa is valid for 1 year. You can work anywhere for up to 3 months at a time. You can read up about the visa here on the Oz govt website - http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/visiting_whm.htm

yea i'd agree with two posts up there, i'd reccommend doing something different, i went to oz for 3 months while my friends were over doing the year thing, its good fun but its not much of a change tbh, was alot like the states 'cept aussies do more drinking,
the tefl thing is a great idea, fund your travels and there's good demand in really exotic and interesting places, thinking of doing this myself but keep putting it off...need some motivations, probably heading to china next summer..cant wait...

anyway oz - make sure to catch the big cities, sydney, canberra, melbourne
and go up north to cairns all along the coast is class...sorry bout the briefness, was there three years ago now

and on the way back s-e asia, and give yourself a good bit of time there, you'll be sorry if you dont, its amazing!
