Please Help ! shortcut problem

    i have a 3 week old laptop with a shortcut problem.
    When i go into the start menu and go to right click on a program--even solitaire ! i dont get my little menu with the few options,just a blink !!! I can't create shortcuts !
    Please help....

    Try setting up a new account on the laptop and see if that fixes the problem.
    If not, you could try reinstalling windows. But since its only three weeks old you could try returning it.

    mmmm, is it a touch pad your using with the laptop ( i hate touchpads, can't use em at all, i always double click when i was only meant to be moving my mouse over the programs menu) Arrggghh! Try using a mouse so?

    right click on start button -> properties -> classic start menu -> customise -> enable dragging and dropping
