    Hi Guys,
I know this forum is for UCC but since there is no CIT forum and my thread is cork related I will post here.

I am going to CIT this year and was just wondering how much I should be needing every week. I will have all my acommadation paid up so it will be just money for food and socialising. Just a rough idea from people that go to cork would be helpful.

First few weeks will be expensive. Christamas, rag week and end of exams will be exppensive, balls and other stuff like that will be expensive.

I survive on 50-60 a week but i dont drink much as i seem to always have to drive

around 50/60 for me as well. but i would say that you'll get by on even less than that if thats what you want to do. (learn to embrace such delicacies as beans on toast ;) ) just shop at somewhere like tesco in wilton, and drink cans before you go out.

6 tuborg for 7 euro, don't you know! just don't go buying all sorts of drinks in clubs and its not too expensive. actually - don't buy alcohol in clubs full stop if you can help it!

its not too difficult to spend e100 or more a week if you're not careful. in 1st year i had loads of money saved up from summer job and blew it all before christmas! lesson learnt :D

Ya you can survive on between 60 and 70 a week eating pretty well from tescos!! Cans are the way to go and if your feeling particulary broke bring a naggin out with ya!!! Its drink that costs the most so if you can keep that down youll be laughing

damn,I go to college in Dublin and 60-70 euros wouldnt get me passed Tuesday

Drink is the biggest drain on any students budget, pity most of our lives are based on when the next pint is:)
