Laptop advice

I'm going to be buying a laptop in about a month, and I have a budget of about €1,300 - €1,400.
It mainly going to be used for general collegey stuff. Since I'll be taking it in and out to college a lot, it needs to be fairly light, but sturdy. I'm thinking of running Linux on it too. I'll be using it for image-processing and some light programming. I'd like a built-in wireless card, and at least 60GB HD space.

I've been looking at the Dell Latitude D610. Does anyone have any advice on other options?

    Thanks :)
