Just wondering if anyone knows what type of firewire connection i need to transfer from the ibook to the imac. Not sure how many pins on each one so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

assuming that its the "Pismo" powerbook, the later version of the G3 with firewire on board, its a 6 pin to 6 pin cable you need to transfer.

I'd stick the imac in firewire disk mode, hold T during startup, and take it from there.

    good luck
