Hi,
I have sent off for my 3V card :D . I was thinking of doing a little shopping on ebay. I was just wondering how it works. How do I recieve what I bought. Do I give my address to the seller or to the folks on ebay. Can I use the 3V card.
    Thanks in advance.

I take it you have done the following:
    1. Set up an ebay account.
    2. Set up a paypal account.

    How ebay works:

You find the item you want.

Two ways to buy items (this depends on seller):
    - You bid on them and win the auction by having the highest bid at the end of the auction.
    - You pay the seller for the item in buynow way, you will see a little buy now icon indicating this type of item.

While setting up you ebay account they will ask you for a shipping address this is where the item will be shipped to.

You can pay the seller by other methods but paypal is the best, as its part of the ebay company and they offer buyer protection, so you dont get ripped off. The money gets transferred from your creditcard to your ebay account and on to the sellers paypal account.

Sit back and wait for dellivery, This can take a while. So check buyers delivery times and location of items.
Does it take long to deliver, do I have to give the seller my address, or just ebay

Ebay has all your information, each seller is completly different, and will state how long it will take to be delivered

    Yes they could do that.
But you can report them to ebay for it.
Theres no way an established seller who sells 100s/1000s of items a month is going to risk their business on one item. You can check their feedback ratings to see how EVERY single other transaction they ever made was done.
most people have satisfaction ratings in the high 90%s

My advice would to be only buy from people who have over 500 feedback and a rating of 97%+. Cos some people just sell junk items to get their feedback up and then start selling the dear stuff and conning people.

wow... cutting off the majority of sellers on ebay if you only buy from those with a fb of 500!!

Well Ive been ripped off before on eBay so from that point on I only buy off people with 500+ FB.

Only dealers would have feedback over 500 - the real bargains (second hand quality stuff sold at a cheap price) are not available from dealers, but from ordinary people.

I would not buy from anyone with feedback of less than 10, but it would depend on what that 10 was made up of. The emails from the person tell a lot too.

Never buy from anyone who wants payment by Western Union, and as usual if the price sounds too good to be true, it generally is.

    Can I use a 3V card

RTFM, a 3V is accepted by any (mail order/online) merchant that accepts visa.
