UKTV G2 started showing this again recently, made me realise how much I missed it. Has it been cancelled? I was reading the synopsis of a new show that Nick Hancock is in and it described him as the "ex" They Think It's All Over host. I know the last series wasn't the greatest, but what a show.

It was fun for a few series but I got bored with the same handful of knob gags. Also Lord Gower went which was bad as he was a good straight man.

Well Gower was funny because everyone took the piss out of him, Phil Tuffnel is actually way funnier than him. I do miss Lineker though.

According to IMDB it's still running.

Apparently (and you'll love this one) Hancock's taken a job as marketing director with a mortgage company in Yorkshire. And there'll be a biteen of TV work on the side. The show's back this year, though it probably shouldn't be and Lee Mack from The Sketch Show is taking the middle seat.

Nah, Jim Tavare is the baldy dude. Lee Mack is the one with the buxom head of hair.

i always thought nick hancock was quite uncool, i often here his fishing show on radio 5 sunday mornings, a mananging directors job at a mortage company hmm, well better then constipation ads...

i think johnathan ross was being a bit overbearing on the whole show...

I think the show JTS'd as soon as Jonathan Ross came on board. It used to be a snappy slagging match when Lee Hurst was on but Ross personally killed it with his dull rambling monologues and clear lack of knowledge about any sport other than tennis. Phil Tufnill in for Gower was the final straw.

acording to newspaper article i read the director of programming at the bbc thought that the show had become too "ladish" and Hancock was removed with the view to replacement.I'm sure i remember reading that the person responsible for the changes was a new person and was a woman who didnt like their sexist jokes and whatnot.
in fairness its a guy programme.wouldnt be the same without hancock
