Id love to do some conservation work abroad. Any place I've looked at costs so much money. Obviously I'd be doing the work on a voluntary basis, but is there any way around paying such fees? They seem to cost around €2500 plus flights for 4 weeks. Does anyone know of any organisation that doesnt charge so much?

Mainly, if they're not going to pay you, you'll have to pay for yourself. This usually includes flights, accomadation, food, etc.

The thing is, the €2500 is not what your paying them, this is proberly how much it takes for food, accomadation, and insurance.

The thing is, you want to get payed for your "voluntary" work, so it doesn't cost as much. Nice attitude, wrong idea.

I get what your saying but €2500 seems like a lot of money for food and accomodation for one month - even in Dublin, never mind a developing country. I am happy to pay my board and food etc but I just dont get why it costs that much!
