$1000 to spend on laptop

    Hey, my father has asked me to buy a laptop online for him. All he really wants it for is online poker and browsing the internet. Mobility is not really an issue, 40gb should do for space. He would like at least a 15" screen. A long lasting battery is also a plus. He will pay 1000 euro(ish).

    are these any good??

    I realise he could get really cheap or second-hand laptop to do the things he wants it for, but he wants a nice(ish) one. (he's a showoff :) )
    Any help or suggestions would be appreciated
