Is it possible to extend your Primary C: Partion with another drive to create a virtual partition

Rebuilt a PC and put a 4 gig primary and a 20gig slave into the box went to copy over ITunes and although ITunes gives you the option of running of another location it will not pick up the music it always goes directly into \\My Docs\my music

I dont really want to image the OS onto the large drive again and work the other way.

You can mount the second drive as 'My Music' in My Documents if you like. Make sure that the 'My Music' folder on your C: drive is empty, then right-click on My Computer > Manage > Disk Management > Right-click on the new drive > Change drive letter and paths > Add > Mount in the following empty NTFS folder.

Mind you I am sure there is a way to simply redirect iTunes, haven't looked at it in a while but I know my music isn't in 'My Music', it's on a different drive ('D:\mp3' to be exact) and iTunes worked fine.

I think you can change the default location of "my music" with tweakui (check the free software sticky).

Nice tip there blorg. Didn't know that.
