I'd been thinking about getting an iPod Mini for some time now.. I'm sure glad I didn't...

I've already ordered myself a Nano... although it does sound like a pretty dopey name...

Let us know your thoughts on it :)

I got a Ipod Mini 4GB back in June for my girlfriend, grrr
Especially annoying considering it took them 20+ days to ship it

    snap... are you me?

Anyway, the nano looks slick, more so than a mini IMO, but saying that, the mini is still a nice machine, albeit lacking a colour screen

What does everyone think about iTunes 5?

I've only just installed it now and haven't had much of a chance to use it just yet.. there are a few nice new graphical touches... but I'm not so sure about the new overall boxy shape to it.

I still kind of like the mini.
The nano looks a bit boring. Maybe cause Ive had one of the big ones for so long.

If the nano comes in the cool colours the mini does I might be tempted...

Well my Nano arrived this morning.

I haven't had too much time to play around with it yet... but really the pictures on the website don't do it justice... this thing is really small.. much smaller than I thought it would be and it weighs about the same amount as my pen.

I'll post here again once I have an idea of how well the battery lasts on the thing.

I got to say I like iTunes 5, especially the search function such a little tweak is so handy.

As much as I hate to admit it I can't justify getting a Ipod Nano especially considering I have Archos Gmini 400 20GB. :(
I'd still like one though....maybe I'll through in one into the order when I buy a Powerbook

Oh.. one thing I've noticed is that the scroll wheel is a bit on the small side and as such doesn't work very well if you are using your tumb on it.. so you have to resort to using your index finger on it.

It also has all the iPod photo features and lets you copy over photos from iPhoto to view on the iPod. But the screen being the size it is, means that it's not a hugely wonderful feature. But it still fairly nice, and as long as the photos are in landscape and not portrait then they display fairly well and certainly get the idea across.
