    Interesting thread alright,
I inspected that anchor myself at the weekend, it's still solid but the frayed edges will damage rope/slings etc. Not sure on a solution, same again would be least damage...but it does make you lean right down to get access...I was clipping onto it via a sling, then moving down onto that lower right ridge where I could set up. Anything further back would be safer to set up, but harder to retrieve rope from below etc. Hard to describe without photos for anyone who doesn't know that area.

I'm just wondering if there's room for a few pegs in there somewhere, it's a better solution then drilling for bolts plus there's plenty of pegs in the crag already (the nightmare ledge being an example).

Are you talking about pegs to ab from or pegs for leader protection? If it's for protection then don't bother, if you can't climb it then just stick to lower grades better suited to you.
