I have a video thats in ASF format. The video plays fine but without any sound. I usually play with Windows Media 9 or VLC or just the classic media player. I have the K-Lite Codec pack installed. I also tried converting the ASF format to AVI but no joy. Is there any other decent media players that im not aware of?

thanks but that didnt work either :) if i download WMP10, it says Total Size: 11,638 KB right? Now does that mean i download and install that and its done or what i think is going to happen is a heap more to download after that?

The most likely problem is that you have an old copy of the WMA codec; download media player 10 or find a suitable "alternative" pack.

    Should solve the problem.

And windows installers are rarely more than a megabyte, the 11,638KB is the entire package.

This will not help as he has a codec problem. Media Player Classic is a video player, that's all.

Plus he's already tried that if you read back a few posts.
