    I'm about half way through this at the moment. I've read other stuff by John Fowles, The Magus being the one I remember which involved weird rites on a Greek island.

    Anyway, has anyone else read this book and did you like it?

    I'm not going to comment on it just yet as I still have a bit to go but so far I am enjoying the story but I'm not so fond of the commentary he adds to point out the differences between Victorian and Modern times.
