    Has anyone ever used this?

The little ad is cool with sound, not as good as the Hitachi Get Perpendicular

I know dubdvd has used it. Ask him about it.

    Yup, it's pretty good.
    Takes forever to "print" though.
I don't think it'll take over from printing direct onto the disk, for me anyhow.

I have a BENQ Lightscribe DVD Burner. Pretty cool. You can basically burn any image or text, of any size [within DVD Size limits] onto the DVD. Lightscribe CD's are no different, label side.

2 bad points at the moment.

    1. Speed of lightscribe burn is 1x so it takes about 20 or 30 minutes to burn the label, maybe more. I can't remember.

    2. The final image is in gray scale, or really gold scale [as the label is gold in colour]. You get no multi color.

Other than those 2 points, I love it. Beats the hell out of scribbeling with a marker or even printing out dvd labels.

I use a BENQ drive also.

An image/ text can take between 15 - 30 minutes to burn depending ib the quality you want (higher=longer).
On the hp website (somewhere) it does state that images/ text burnt using lightscribe may (or will?, can't remember)fade if exposed to UV light, or direct sunlight for prolonged periods - hasn't happened yet :D

    Other than that, very cool...
