    I think you're safe there :D

A fine result for Dundalk though, how was the pitch? Did it play well?

Unless it is a disaster, it'll be used by more and more clubs.

Straight up the pitch was fantastic played really well , the one3 thing about most eircom league sides they play route one football let be honest lads , but the pitch was allwoing dundalk to play VERY well the ball on the ground , this is the biggest improvement our players noticed about it from speaking to them , another thing the drogs played on teh pitch last week and gave out a lot about it on the lead up to the match but once the match was over they thought it was great , a pitch that allowed you to play football if you get my drift ?

    ^ Between?

Re Dundalks pitch: What kinda boots do the players wear? Normal studs etc, or astro? Also, is it fully artificial, or only part?

eh between who not a great deal of info there !

    to gimmick

it is a "fake" pitch but only one to fifa highest greade 3 standards , the players use any boots they want to be honest , the club have opened the pitch to the public for free for the next couple of weeks to "break it in"

So you can stroll up and have a game?

When they start charging rent for it they'll make a packet. They reckon between cheaper maintaince (38.5k a year cheaper), not having to rent out other pitches for training/reserve and youth teams and renting the pitch out (the Dundalk chairman says 3-4k a week will come in from rent apparently) this thing will be worth hundreds of thousands of euro a year to Dundalk. Which is something.

Also I think it certinaly allows good passing football, which there was plenty of v Drogheda. It's a better pitch for playing football on then alot of other ones in this league, that's for sure. If it's a success it'll be going in the San Siro no less as Milan are monitoring the situation in Dundalk, and no doubt most clubs here will get it in too.
