Who's Your least Favourite H.P Character?

We all know that there's someone in HP you can't stand and for me it has to be our be-glassed obnoxious hero himself.
I can't stand his angry outbursts and his big-headedness.
I like the book but there's always someone...

Rita Skeeter for me, hated her. And Umbridge.

Luna Lovegood is gonna be a major part of the plot I think, she will know something about one of the Horcruxes.

While I certainly wouldn't like to meet Rita Skeeter or Dolores Umbridge, I rather enjoyed not liking them, and so I like the characters (does that make sense?) I think Luna Lovegood is really irritating and I on't find any of the things she says funny at all. And though everyone else seems to love him, I've never been that pushed about Sirius Black - I didn't really care much when he died. In terms of the films, I despise the guy who plays Ron - he is such a terrible actor! Get some new facial expressions!

I agree. However, Hagrid is my least favourite. Mostly due to the epic trial it is trying to decode his speech.....

i thought dumbledore talked too much in The Half Blood Prince.but i voted for Neville in the poll..i dont hate him,hes just THERE,you know?....

Personally, I hate Neville Longbottom. Despite what he's been through I've never really liked him nor hated him in an extreme. I've like every other character someway but I don't seem to like Neville!

Umbridge made my skin crawl, she just seemed so odious. I'm not a huge fan of Harry, especially because he is SUCH a fool when it comes to Cho and because he is such a moany b*gger. Crabbe and Goyle are so clichéd it's unreal. There's someone else I don't like, but I can't remember who it is...

Neville is just stupid! I'd say though that both he and Luna will play an important role in the final book!

I loath Ginny. I think she's a rude and obnoxious bully (just like her twin brothers but worse). But I would like to meet her a real life, to tell her a thing or two!

Sirius annoyed the life out of me. Particularly that incident in OoTP where he's goading Harry to do something wrong from the fire by telling he he'd be more like his father if he did. How stupid, immature and irresponsible! Such an awful role model.

That's about it. There's a few more I'm not mad about but those are the two that really get (got?) my goat.

He didn't want to be a father figure to Harry, he wanted his friend back. He wanted James back and Harry was the closest thing to James for him so yeah, he wanted to relive the friendship he had and dearly missed.

Harry does spend alot of time moping, especially in the movie, which started to piss me off, especially when he stated having all those "meaningful" moments with Lupin...

I didn't say that Sirius should have been a father-figure to Harry, just that he could have been a little bit less of a terrible role model to an impressionable teenage boy. I also didn't like his arrogance, particularly I admit, in the pensieve scene. He's just a person I wouldn't like in Real Life and I find it hard to understand why JKR put him forward as an example of a good character. The fact that he's hot cuts no ice with me, Joanne! Yes, and I know that realistic characters have flaws, I just find it hard to find any redeeming features in Sirius.

Actually it's becoming a big problem with me and my enjoyment of the HP books the way that a lot of the good characters seem to overwhelmingly posess bad characteristics. One thing that annoyed about HBP though I liked it was how JKR made little of certain characters bad points (Ginny's bullying and obnoxiousness, Harry's disregard for rules and big-headedness) by telling us, the reader, how popular they are. So what?!:mad:

my least favourites are dolores umbridge (hate her!), rita skeeter and percy weasley. and hagrid is kind of annoying as well. seeing as the others aren't on the list i'll pick him. and harry is pretty annoying sometimes as well but mostly because i hate daniel radcliffe with a passion.

Im a fan of the h.p series but Harry himself annoys me so much!the same as a lot of fantasy heros (Frodo and Rand al Thore and Eragon)! what annoys me is that their supposed to save the world and be these big heros that legnds rise from their deeds and tales echo of their adventures for ages to come but they never seem to possess anything that really sets them out from the rabble maybe a little more stubborness (dont think thats a word) and innocence but they have nothing else!that kind of annoys me i know its easier to relate to someone who seems normal but succeds in the face of unsurrmountable evil but its been done already can we not have a proper hero who excells at somethings and isnt just average?i dunno thats just my opinion probably gona get a lot of disagreement so apolgies in advance!Also dont like malfoy hes just a prat!!!!

The thing is, heroes are just normal people who are in the right place at the right time and do the right thing. They have no special characteristics, they just face down their fear where everyone else runs, and do what needs to be done. And I'd hardly call Rand al'Thor or Frodo normal folk - Frodo has a magic ring (other than that he's normal, true.) Rand sure as hell isn't normal - he's the most powerful channeller in the world. He cleansed saidin, for heaven's sake! AND he's gonna defeat Shai'tan! Not exactly common or garden, no?

I'm not really sure why I enjoy the Harry Potter books so much, because when I think about it, I realise that I hate a sizeable portion of the characters: Ron, Hagrid, Neville, Snape, Sirius and, most of all, Harry himself. Pretty much the entire Slytherin brood irritate me, as do other minor characters like Parvati, Cho etc.... Great books though!

Bellatrix Lestrange is a character who absolutely makes my blood boil. She seems to just love to bully everyone and anyone except her beloved Volde, and of course she's responsible for killing of the parents of one of my favourite characters, the one I emphasise most with, Neville.
That being said I absolutely love her Character; She just instils such strong emotions. She's so hateful and seems to show no remorse it kind of makes you wonder why she's so adamant in sticking by the evilness of there actions, (there’s no real reason we’ve been told yet, apart from her connection to the infamous Blacks) . In short Bellatrix an excellently constructed character I just hate so much!

Percy annoys me, as does Snape ( its the damn voice!), and Moaning Myrtle, i thought she'd never go away.

Actually yeah, now that you mention it Moaning Myrtle is incredibly irritating. But nothing like as irritating as she is in the films - oh god! - an how old is the actress who plays her anyway?! There's no way she's a teenager

In the books, I don't really mind Myrte. However, she was so incredibly irritating in the film that I can't cope with her in the books anymore.

Nevilles' parents are still alive....they were subjected to the Cruciatus Curse while they were Auror's by death-eaters in an attempt to force them to tell where the defeated Lord M had fled to. They were driven insane by the curse and are now at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries......and poor wee Neville is being raised by his Grandmother....
