Can't receive Sky - any options?

    Hi,
I live in a rural area, and my house is surrounded by trees. I got Sky installed back at the start of the year and everything was fine. That was until the leaves grew back on the trees, and the signal went. According to the digibox the signal strength was fine but the quality was low to non existent. I've had the installer out twice to play with it but he couldn't get it to work due to the large mature oak and lime trees that surround the property. Do I have any options at this stage? I was going to ring Sky, explain my situation and try to cancel it, which the installer thought wouldn't be a problem. Only solution as far as I can see is a large chainsaw, but unfortunately I don't own the trees in question, and it would be a shame to cut the offending ones down even if I did. Is there anything I can do besides wait for the leaves to fall off again and pay in the meantime for a service I can't use?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

You could move your dish. It doesn't have to be attached to your house. I could move it somewhere else in your garden and run a cable from the dish to your receiver

These trees are nearly 100ft tall :( We considered that option TLR, but he said he'd need to move back nearly 75m into a nearby field to get coverage, and then there'd be an issue with signal strength over a cable at such a distance, plus he'd have to charge me a good bit of money to do it as Sky wouldnt cover it...

you could give the trees a mystery disease. i have heard of one person that did this. bit extreme but he obviously loves his sateliite tv :D

is the answer.. get urself a roll of 100metre satellite coax.. Move the dish urself and see what the signal strength is like.. I ran mine over 50metres and there wasnt much signal loss...
