I can't send messages in Gmail, says sending but times out with a oops message

    I can't send messages in Gmail in work. No problems at home on XP. On my pc in work with W2K SP4 I have always had errors when trying to send a message. I used to get the oops message if I try and send and email, I found if I clicked to attach a file and then cancelled it, the message would always send. Now it just has a very slow bar with "sending" in the top corner, after a few minutes of this I get the oops message, the attachment trick no longer works.

    I have run ad-aware and spybot, which got rid of some stuff. I went on straight after and was able to send one message (had to do the attachment thing). But next time it wasnt working again.

    Could it be the network settings or firewall or something?
    Hotmail and yahoo mail both work fine, always have

    I cant get into gmail there is message saying that they are having server trouble.

    They have been having some intermittant problems over the past few days-had a similiar issue this morning.
    I wonder if the realease of google talk has anything to do with it as the issues seem to have begun around the time of the release. Perhaps some teething issues. Both GMAIL and Goole Talk are still in beta so issues are to be expected.
