    Hi,

Can someone tell me what the dialing prefix is if your line is X-directory? I keep on receiving letters from SKY indicating that my telephone line is not corrected properly.

    Thanks.

I -think- its 142, but Eircom took that kind of info out of the phone book a while back, or at least the 07/09 2005 phone book (only one I can find..)

*Right, quick check around shows it is 142 in Ireland. Check by phoning your mobile first, though.

Its 142 to show your number, 141 to hide it regardless if your number is X-directory or not.

Does it make a difference to Sky if your number is visible or not..?

And the answer to your question is yes, at least for your 1st year of contract as they need to verify that the two digiboxes (multibox subscription in my case) are plugged into the same number

Actually, its -forever- on a multiroom, first year on a free or subsidised install.
