Basically state the film and a short sypnopsis of the plot.(Very Short)!!!!!

I saw 'The Rising' which I really liked but a bit to much music.

It's about the indian war of independence. And how one man's idea can create an uprising.

I went to see The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3D.

It was about the adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl and it was in 3D...

It wasn't very good... but better than expected.

    Crash

Let me go against what all the "intelligent and cool" people say about it and say "meh". Take it or leave it really.
Looking for a film with a defined, beginning, middle and end? Then dodge this baby! Such an aimless collection of stories that even has
a half-ass ending exactly like the beginning, full circle, how original
    .
Its a bit too upfront with the films message also. To be honest I would rather look in to a film than be bombarded with what is wrong in todays society. American History X is a much better example of a film dealing with racism and also shows the viewpoint and ideology behind some of it that makes you think long and hard without the constant need to have it on display in every scene like a pair of Converse in I, Robot.
Little note for directors and script-writers too. Please stop leaving the viewer to have a "Do-It-Yourself" ending. Its not big and its not clever. Its a freaking cop-out. Some turtle-neck, arty man will always say that "I just didn't get the film" but to be honest, I did and there just was not much to get. People generally massage their egos by saying they are intelligent for liking a movie like this when to be honest any person with half a brain cell can see that these cop-out endings are akin to "It was all a dream" 5th class essays.

P.S I was also disappointed that its not the film where some guy has a fetish for having sex with car crash victims but I bet that film has an ending!

Love the review D-Generate. I enjoyed "Crash" but it's fast becoming my award for Most Over-Rated Movie of 2005. You eloquently addressed many of the flaws I found in the movie. There were certain points where the director just seemed to forcefully set up moments intended to shock the audience, e.g.
when the girl gets "shot" and we're meant to be impressed when the director reveals they were blanks later on but, for those of us paying attention, we were "rewarded" by spotting this setup earlier.
. But the worst bit was the heavy-handedness and overuse of coincidence. Now I can accept that device, perhaps, in "Magnolia" where that was one of the central points of the movie, but here... it was used too much to railroad characters into forced confrontations...

Anyhooooww, the last I saw was "Unleashed". Jet Li has lived life as a "dog", fighting for the evil criminal Bob "It's Good to Talk" Hoskins. But when he escapes into the big bad world, he must find a whole new concept of belonging and blah blah blah yawn.

The movie tries to ram too many homily Hollywood preaches about family down our throats, with a flawless disjointed family that adopt the quirky Jet Li. Oh they're so kooky and krazy the way they fit Jet into their lives!

At times there's almost a pantomime feel to the movie - the director seems to think that, when setting mood, there's nothing better than having lots of lightning flashes. Perhaps, in a sequel, he could have charactera cackling insanely to really drive home the moment.

It's a shame too 'coz Jet Li shows some talent for expressive comedy but any movie where Morgan Freeman's presence has you bored, is best left consigned to the DVD dustbin...

I went to see Charlie and the chocolate Factory-twice. No need to elaborate on it as I'm sure everyone knows it. I absolutley loved it

Why exactly do we need two "Last film you saw..." threads?
