How can you get them anyway and what exactly do they do?

Pills are MUCH WORSE for you than injecting.

My take on steroids is this - when you have reached your genetic limits, than you can consider taking them. Any time before that, you're just being lazy.

im not lazy... i was just wondering cause if they improve my physic i would prob take em! because im so called over-weight lol and i do work out i go the gym,do weights and box :)

I've read a lot about steroids (ex-weights freak.)

From a financial and health perspective, only take them (as I said) when you've reached your genetic limit. Obviously, being over-weight you are no where near this limit.

Just work harder in the gym (more cardio, less weights) and change your diet (how many fat vegetarians do you know?)

but is weight gaining not part of muscle building?

    :)

Well, not weight gaining in the "I'm over-weight" sense.

There are all kinds of theories about what is the best way to pack on muscle.

This is what I used to do -

Keep cardio to a minimum (I was very active anyway, so I was fit.) There is no need to deplete your energy and burn away your muscle doing too much cardio in the gym.

Eat creatine and protein shakes before the gym.

Do a combination of lighter + high reps and very heavy + low reps in the gym.

Immediately after the gym eat a good, large meal with lots of protein.

Lots of sleep. Lots of good food.

    No alcohol.

Worked for me. I went from being a skinny lad to very strong (and visibly strong) in about 9 months.

The amount of food I was eating cost a fortune though :)

I found alcohol was my biggest problem. No alcohol = great motivation and great results. Getting drunk = ruined me for a week.

Poll should be who has taken steroids - talk is cheep and if anyone wanted to take them then they would be well into their training and that area already.

I agree most people do not work hard enough to even warrent taking a protein drink!!!

i took stromba and test 20 years ago as a wrestler (freestyle)
-they work- and if you really want them you'll find them.

they do work there's no doubt, they also can cause aggressive mood swings, and reports of infertility.
Make sure your reading the proper articles if you wanna do them.
And if your in a competitive sport, you can be sure you can kiss it goodbye if you start on a course of them.

This is a very sensitive subject and I would advise anyone who is considering taking steroids to thoroughly research them first. The idea of taking oral only cycles (just pills) is a very bad idea as most steroids pills - like methandrostenolone are toxic to the liver. Besides the kind of person who wants to just take tablets because they are afraid of needles sounds like someone who shouldn't take steroids because it comes across as this person wants a shortcut. Also I wouldn't take any advice on dosages or what to do on a forum as sometimes the level of advice given is atrocius - advice which is potentially dangerous. I'm not gonna give any advice in this respect, I just hope anyone who goes on the gear does at least a few months research first.

I'm a veggie and I'm muscly. I've trained with and without Protein and didn't notice that much of a difference in my level. I do eat a very balanced diet as a veggie. I guess as a veggie I have to watch what I eat a lot more and this makes me more aware of eating a proper diet.
