Yeah, but what would you do with it once you go it back to Ireland - the US satellite TV signal won't come back with you!

One Large Sat Dish flyby is guaranteed at 10pm tonight and again at 9pm and 10 pm tomorrow night but it could prove a tad difficult to 'snag' it

Plenty of stuff to get in Europe first. Nordic beams on Thor3, Eastern beam on Turksat, Nilesat , Amos 1 etc. Hours of fun to be had!

There have also been reports of signal reception from Echostar 3 in the Algarve, so out-of-footprint reception of US birds isn't impossible either. I've seen peaks on the spectrum analyzer somewhere west of Estrela do Sul 63W recently.

When you consider that an equivalent dish in Europe would be in the region of €6000, the one in the link is a bit of a bargain.

You could get it or its equals and get onto an exporting company and have it shipped across in a container, there is hundreds of irish moving out of the USA monthly and coming home most brings all their furniture and power tools etc with them. They are all brought over by container but you'd have to pay tax on them here them afaik. You'd probably pick up a similar dish for a reasnoble price in Europe though, i'd reckon anway.

The hurricane joke was very bad taste btw.

dhsatellite were selling 4.2m spun aluminium dishes for $900. When we asked about delivery charges by ocean, it came to over $2000 extra + taxes.

And some b*st*rd has bought the 3.8M above for $250! I'm just going to slink off into a dark corner and cry...
