connection problems after 9pm.

    Every day until 9pm my broadband connection works fine with no problems. Afer 9pm the connection drops and tries to resynch and then drops again, returning to normal sometime early in the morning(while im asleep) . i have eircom starter and am using a netopia 3346 router .This has been going on for months now , anyone have any ideas whats going on?

    I get similar problems.
    During business hours it all works but in the evening, I get disconnected and my modem resyncs. This happens randomly five or six times over a three hour period and is particularly annoying if you connect to any kind of gaming or VoIP system.

    The logs at http://dslstats.eircom.net confirm that I get many IP addresses.

    eircom support suggested I upgrade my Netopia (but I use a SMC 7401 v2).

    They have also suggested I get a fixed IP address but that costs €50.

    I'm waiting for a response from eircom suppotr.
