For me its all about the monkey ball series. Amazing fun with a few friends (& optionally a few beers) in either the main game, or monkey flight mode.

Mario Kart is worth a look as always.

Nothing beats Resident Evil 4 on the GC. Metroid Prime 1+2 do come close. F-zero GX is one of the best racing games ever. Best multiplayer games would be Super Smash Brothers Melee and Mario Kart DD.

My list of favourite GC games... Includes Metroid and Zelda, but it wouldn't be a GC list without them :p

    Metroid Prime
    Super Smash Bros Melee
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 (1 is better single player, 2 is better multiplayer)
    F-Zero GX
    Resident Evil 4
    Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
    TimeSplitters 2
    Mario Kart: Double Dash
    Burnout 2
    Viewtiful Joe (haven't played 2)
    Beyond Good and Evil
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

(and if you like RPGs... I don't... but Tales of Symphonia, Paper Mario, Skies of Arcadia and Baten Kaitos.)

Wasn't too fond of Eternal darkness either. Great story, music and atmosphere but playing it just felt a wrong.

best game would have to be Resident Evil 4, in fact it is the best game out of all consoles this generation... although it would be second best if the new Zelda was out before Christmas, ;)

    Metroid Prime
    Resident Evil 4
    Metroid Prime 2
    Paper Mario

Here's another vote for Eternal Darkness. It's no killer app, but it's definitely a good game, with some innovative freakiness.

Anything else I'd recommend has been mentioned previously.

    My advice:
    AAA

    Windwaker
    Metroid Prime
    Resident Evil 4
    Viewtiful Joe
    Wario Ware Inc
    Monkey Ball 1/2
    Eternal Darkness
    Freedom Fighters
    Mario Kart: DD
    F-Zero

Nothing that hasn't been mentioned before really

My favourite cube games would probably be

    Pikmin
    Metroid Prime
    Eternal Darkness
    Beyond Good and Evil

Last but certainely not least would be Animal Crossing, the only game I've got that's kept me playing pretty regularly for well over a year, I don't know why writing rude letters to squirrels is so much fun......

    I concur, wiseman.

I nearly freaked when it said it was deleting my savegames.

Yeah, quality moment :D I loved those kooky 'insanity' effects (after a few views, mind - the first time you see them it's fecking heart-in-mouth time, especially the aforementioned save game deletion / reset type ones  )

The whole runes thing was class as well IMO.
Also, it just occured to me that Eternal Darkness could make quite an interesting movie (I hope to Christ Uwe Boll doesn't read Boards...)

Do it... memorable game, not much replay value though... but worth it for the battles and Ms. Meowz
