laptop ram q's??

    i have a latitude l400 and wnat to upgrade the ram.

    its pc100 as far as i can figure out. can i put a stick of pc2700 512MB in there? it should just run at the 100mhz speed shouldnt it??

    also i need to find some cosmetic pieces for it like new hinge joints on the lcd. ive tried ebay and dell but no luck as yet. any help???

    No the max you can put in that system is 256 im afraid.See max RAM!
    there are a few places in England that do parts but for the cash they are asking it may be worth trying DIY or getting a cr*p second hand one and replacing parts.
