why do you want to waste your money on a fully syn oil
once the oil meets the recommended manufacturers spec then your ok .
semi syn is far cheaper and provides a good protection across all temp ranges .i use 10 W 40 semi replaced every 7000 on my toy impreza Turbo 50,000 miles and counting no problem .

I use Silkolene brought in from the UK - www.opieoils.co.uk - contact Simon there and tell him I sent ya! He knows his stuff about the best oil for particular engines!

Ah yeah that guy goes by the username oilman on other forums I've seen and he does take the time to give great detailed advice.

Are you buying oil in bulk or just 5 litres by the way?
What are the shipping costs to Ireland?

Is that Q for me or the OP?
I bought mine as part of a group buy. I bought 20L of Silkolene Pro S 5w-40 (20L) and Silkolene Syn 5 75w-90 oil.
Came to €206 including delivery to Ireland.

    Yeah you, cheers :)
So you got 40 litres in total for E206?

It doesn't seem that cheap, but I haven't been able to find any Silkolene Pro S 5w-40 myself here in Ireland - at least in any of the places I've looked.

No - only got 1 or 2 litres of the g/b oil. 20L of engine oil.
I rang Tedcastles here to get some Silkolene (they're the importers here) but they tend to only specialise in oils for two wheelers!

Ah right, so it just isn't currently available in Ireland then I guess.
Let me know if you're doing another group buy of the Silkolene fully synthetic anyway, I might be interested. Cheers.
