    Hello Forum,

Just wonderin about connectivity and all that. Can we put other devices into our macs and get software to transfer files. I have an ibook and my girlfreind is considerin buyin one too. Howerver she has a sony minidisc player and is not really interested in getting an ipod. She's a pianist and needs the recording faciliy with the good condensor mic. She would like to be able to use the mini disc with new laptop. Obviously openmg and sonic stage are pc platform only but is there an open source program or even a simple file share mac program available to us that some of you might use. I don't think this is completely ridiculous considerin both mac and minidisc play a large role in sound recording over the last 15 years. This will probably be the deciding factor that sways her in mac favour as she does love my ibook, but will give dell her money if she has to.

    Paul
